Kong makes it necessary for me to add that it is impossible

for me to countenance any continuation of this long drawn

out dispute, and that, failing a speedy and satisfactory

solution of the question of this appointment, I shall have

no alternative but to close the office at once and to

entrust its management provisionally to the Eastern Extension Telegraph Company.
